MRM InTheBlk

One of the biggest issues in advertising is the lack of representation—and instead of waiting for change, we built it ourselves. Alongside three fellow Black creatives, I co-founded InTheBlk, a Black Affinity Group focused on uplifting Black and African American talent through advocacy, mentorship, and outreach. Our mission? To shift the culture of advertising by increasing representation through advocacy, mentorship, and meaningful outreach.

Our first major effort—a video created in partnership with Woodward Original and led entirely by Black creatives—earned a Silver D Show Award at the 2024 Adcraft D Show Awards. The recognition was great, but the real success is the movement we’ve started.
